Debt Hunt How to Pay Off the Debt

Cash routes that actually move the corporation meter before the last day.

Pay Off the Debt

Paying the debt is the game. T0pH4t_Studios did not hide it: earn as much money as possible, pay the collection agency known as Debt Hunt. Everything else — wolf, gun, cage — is pressure around that number. This page is the daytime economy. Photography detail lives on the camera guide; shop discipline lives on DarkMarket. Night lives on survive sunset. If you still need the rules of a contract, read how to play first.

Think in Cash per day, not loot per pile

Open the debt tracker and divide the quota by remaining days. That is your floor. If a side tunnel cannot beat the floor, skip it. Clutch (win on the last day) is a badge because people stall. Do not design your run to earn Clutch.

Income sources the badges confirm

Rank these for a first-hour Easy route. Exact Cash numbers change with patches; the order is about reliability.

  1. Supply boxes — Provision Master wants 150 opens. They are dense, repeatable, and usually on paths. Crack every box on the way, not every box on the seed.
  2. Camera photos — Master Photographer is 1000 shots. If the UI highlights a subject, shoot it. Photos scale with how often you remember the camera exists.
  3. Mineral ores — Master Miner is 500. Mine nodes that sit on the route. A long cave on day one is how sunset finds you underground.
  4. Treasures — Archaeologist is 100 digs. Treat marked dirt as a pit stop, not a new career.
  5. Wooden planks — Wrecking Crew is 100 breaks. Only smash gates that hide a room worth the noise.
  6. Gems — Gem Alarm fires on pickup. High value, high attention. Pocket it and leave the tile.
  7. Combat loot — guns and cages exist in official art. They are not your quota engine. If a fight delays extract, you already lost money.

The loot tier list is the short table you can screenshot. This article is the reasoning.

DarkMarket is a tax unless it prints days

Independent (win without DarkMarket) exists so you know the shop is optional. Buy when the item:

  • saves a downed runner (medical / carry),
  • opens a plank gate that hides clustered boxes,
  • lets you work one extra night interior without dying.

Do not buy cosmetics, meme guns, or “maybe useful” gadgets on Medium while the meter is short. Loadout ideas sit on loadouts. Codes are not a plan; the codes hub is empty until the studio speaks.

A three-day mental model

Day 1 — boxes + photos, short ore hits, no hero caves. Bank a surplus. Day 2 — fill the gap. If you are ahead, skip DarkMarket. If you are behind, buy one tool that multiplies remaining time. Last day — extract math only. No new biome. If you must clutch, clutch with a full bag, not a pickaxe in a hole.

Solo players should over-index on boxes and photos because they cannot split mining and carrying. See solo runs. Squads should assign a photographer so the camera is not “everyone forgot.” See co-op.

Banking and profile Cash

Millionaire (save 1,000,000 Cash) implies some currency persists outside a single contract. Do not starve a live quota to feed a long-term bank. Pay the corporation first. Legendary Hunter (level 100) is XP; it will happen if you keep extracting, not if you die with a pretty bag.

Common ways people miss the debt

  • Mining through sunset (read survive sunset).
  • DarkMarket shopping every dawn.
  • Chasing every Gem alarm across the map.
  • Fighting the wolf for sport.
  • Never opening boxes because ores “feel more like a game.”

Reset those habits on Easy using Getting Started and the run checklist. When Update 1 changes shop delivery timing, we will date it on Update 1 instead of silently editing this loop.

Pay the agency. Then take pretty wolf screenshots.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Debt Hunt questions.

What is the fastest legal Cash on Easy?

Supply boxes and camera shots on a short loop. Details and exceptions are on the loot tier list.

Should I spend every dawn in DarkMarket?

No. Independent exists for a reason. Shop only when a buy prints days — see loadouts.

Do Gems complete the quota by themselves?

Treat them as spikes, not a plan. Pickup is loud enough to be a badge. Route them inside how to play.

Can codes replace farming?

Not today. No verified codes — check codes after patches.
