Loadout Tier List

A Debt Hunt loadout is a hotbar plus, optionally, DarkMarket. Independent (win without DarkMarket) is the reminder that the best loadout can be empty shop, full discipline. This page ranks buys and slots for quota survival. Pair it with loot and pay off the debt. If you still die to binds, fix controls first.

The Independent loadout (S for accounts that leak Cash)

Camera on hotbar. Interact ready. Sprint available. No shop. You live on boxes, photos, and on-route nodes. This is the Easy default and a legitimate win on higher difficulties if your day clock is clean. It is also how you learn whether a future buy is actually printing a day or just looking like a Roblox shop.

S tier slots

Camera. Not optional if photos pay. Badge: 1000 shots. If it is buried in slot 8, you will never shoot the evidence in front of you.

Light. Sunset interiors without a beam are guesswork. A cheap light is more extract than a loud gun. Night posture: survive sunset.

Medical or carry enable. Official art is a bleeding teammate in someone’s arms. If DarkMarket sells a heal, a stim, or a cheaper carry, it is S for squads. Solo can downgrade this to A.

A tier slots

Break tool. Planks gate rooms. Using the rifle as a saw is how you enter a fight empty. A dedicated breaker keeps the gun for the wolf, not for plywood.

Compact bag upgrade. Only A after you have thrown loot away twice. If you never fill a bag, this is a tax.

B tier slots

Dedicated mining tool. Makes ores faster, which is good on day 2 if you are behind and the node is close. Makes you greedier at sunset, which is bad. Bring it when the debt tracker says you need volume, not when you are ahead.

Extra ammo. Combat is real. Extra ammo is B because most wipes are positioning, not a dry mag. Buy it if your squad actually shoots to cover a carry.

C tier slots

Trailer guns. The cage-firefight still is cool. Buying a heavy weapon before your Easy floor is how Medium feels impossible. If you want to fight, earn the gun with surplus Cash after the corporation is covered.

Stacking shop every dawn. That is not a slot; it is a habit. It will keep you off Independent and off extract.

D tier slots

Cosmetics that cost contract Cash. Millionaire is a million saved. Hats can wait. If a cosmetic is Robux-only, it does not belong in this ranking at all.

Script loadouts. ESP, speed, auto-mine. Those are bans, not tiers. Read script safety.

Squad vs solo

Squads should not all buy the same S-tier light. One light, one breaker, one medic, everyone has a camera. Duplicate shops waste the shared quota. Role split: co-op. Solo should keep Independent until Medium feels solved — solo runs.

Difficulty notes

Easy: Independent S. Medium: one S-tier night tool is reasonable. Hard: medical becomes S; C-tier guns still wait. Insane: if you need a full shop to function, you are not ready; go back to Getting Started habits, not a shopping list.

Revisit this list after Update 1 shop tweaks. Until a patch names items, we rank roles, not fan-wiki fiction SKUs. For a pre-queue pass, use the run checklist so the hotbar is set in the lobby, not beside the wolf.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Debt Hunt questions.

What is the best loadout for beginners?

Independent: camera plus boxes. Shop after you understand how to play.

Should every teammate buy a gun?

No. Duplicate C-tier weapons starve the quota. Split roles in co-op.

Is DarkMarket required on Insane?

Not required, but a night tool and medical jump in value. Still skip trailer guns. See survive sunset.

Where do I compare loot itself?

On loot, not here. This page is buys and slots.
