Debt Hunt Money Guide
Cash routes that work. Photos, ores, boxes, and the economy the badge list actually confirms.
Money is the entire point. NZTeam (original Roblox publisher: T0pH4t_Studios) did not hide this: earn as much as possible, pay the collection agency. Every other mechanic — the wolf, the sunset, the DarkMarket — exists to pressure the quota. This page is the daytime economy. DarkMarket discipline lives on DarkMarket. Night survival lives on survive sunset. If you need the contract basics, read how to play first.
The quota math
Open the debt tracker and divide the remaining debt by days left. That number is your floor. Every route decision should beat that floor or save time to reach it safely. Clutch — winning on the last day — is a badge because people stall. Do not design runs around needing it.
Income sources in badge order
The badge list confirms what earns money. Ranked by reliability on a first Easy run:
Supply boxes — Provision Master wants 150 opens. They spawn dense along paths and are the most repeatable income source. Crack every box on your route, not every box on the seed.
Camera photography — Master Photographer is 1000 shots. The UI highlights shootable subjects. When something glows or draws attention, photograph it. Photo value scales with clarity, distance, and number of subjects in frame.
Mineral ores — Master Miner is 500 mines. Mine nodes that sit on your route. A long cave on Day 1 is how sunset finds you underground. Short hits only.
Treasures — Archaeologist is 100 digs. Marked dirt appears as a pit stop, not a separate expedition. Stop, dig, continue.
Wooden planks — Wrecking Crew is 100 breaks. Only smash gates that hide a room worth the noise. Boarded buildings often contain concentrated loot but also contain risk.
Gems — Gem Alarm fires on pickup. High value, high attention. Pocket it and leave the tile. Do not route across the map for a Gem alarm unless you are already close.
Combat loot — Guns and cages appear in official art. They are not quota engines. If fighting delays your extract, you already lost money.
The market system
The laptop displays news that changes item values. Mushroom contamination lowers mushroom prices; mushroom boom raises them. Artifact demand increases prices for golden duck, silver rabbit, strange toy. Metal-related events change scrap metal value. Supply issues can increase tool prices.
Check news before selling expensive items. Holding a valuable piece for a better news cycle is legitimate strategy — within limits. Do not hold so much inventory that a wipe costs more than the price bump is worth.
Day route principles
A good route is short, repeatable, and does not require memorizing a YouTuber’s seed. Because maps are procedural, each run starts fresh. The trailer is always in the same place. Caves, camps, houses, workshops, quarries, and watchtowers appear in different locations.
Start with nearby structures. Work outward only after the immediate area is cleared. Identify a return path before going deep. When sunset approaches, stop adding objectives and head back.
Photography economics
The camera cannot be sold. An SD card increases storage from five to ten photographs. A lens improves photo quality. Both are DarkMarket purchases that pay for themselves in additional photo runs.
Photograph the monster, deer, remains, clothing, tracks, bloodstains, and claw marks. Living subjects may be worth more than dead ones. Clear, well-framed shots with multiple details earn more than quick snapshots.
Mineral nodes
Mining requires a pickaxe. Nodes spawn in quarries and occasionally caves. Mineral color affects sale value — rarer colors are worth more. The quarry can produce minerals at night as well as during day, but night mining means navigating with the monster active.
Buy a pickaxe only when mineral nodes are confirmed on your route. Carrying it without a target wastes inventory space.
Banking across runs
Millionaire (save 1,000,000 Cash) implies currency persists between contracts. Do not starve a live quota to build a bank. Pay the corporation first. Legendary Hunter (level 100) is XP — it comes from repetition, not from dying with a pretty bag.
Solo versus squad money
Solo players cannot split mining and carrying. Over-index on boxes and photos. A camera slot is not optional — it is your ore income.
Squads should assign a photographer so the camera is not “everyone forgot.” One person runs boxes, another mines confirmed nodes, the photographer shoots, and the anchor watches sunset. See co-op.
Common money mistakes
- Mining through sunset (read survive sunset).
- Shopping DarkMarket every dawn instead of farming.
- Chasing every Gem alarm across the map.
- Fighting the wolf for sport instead of extracting.
- Never opening boxes because ores “feel more like a game.”
Reset those habits on Easy using the run checklist. When Update 1 follow-ups change economy values, we will date it on the updates page instead of silently editing this loop.
Pay the agency. Then take pretty screenshots.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Debt Hunt questions.
What is the fastest legal cash on Easy?
Supply boxes and camera shots on a short loop. Details are on the loot tier list.
Should I sell everything immediately?
Check laptop news first. Market events can raise prices for specific items. Hold within reason — a wipe costs more than a price bump is worth.
How do photos earn money?
Upload at the laptop. Photo value scales with clarity, distance, and number of subjects. The SD card and lens upgrades increase quantity and quality.
Can codes replace farming?
No verified codes exist as of September 2026. Check codes after patches.
